Shorter western read.

I enjoyed reading this western, following the lead character Tanner, kept one’s interest, nothing boring. A few twist and turns kept myself wanting to read more. Hope there will be a sequel to this book soon.

This was a great book. I would definitely highly recommend. Kept me on my toes. Hope the author turns it into a western series or releases another book soon.

This was a good old west read. The storyline is fantastic, true gritty pioneer American tale with a touch of the paranormal/Indian folklore to keep you hooked. There’s plenty of action, but the author keeps the plot in focus.

The author was good at world building. His descriptive way of writing creates the best CGI in my head. I saw this book more than I read it. His has the ability to make you visualize. Here are two examples:

“In the midst of this chaos, the once secure gold strongbox lay upended near a gnarled pine tree, its precious contents spilled like glittering tears upon the earth”

“The blade gleamed under the harsh midday sun, its edge honed to a razor-sharp perfection that whispered promises of swift and sure destruction”

I liked how Marshal Tanner felt about the America’s Indian history without getting lost in the debate of right or wrong.

Will Otter & Dancing Star be a regular or get a spin-off?? Questions I need answers to!

The book was great from the start and a smooth ride to a solid conclusion. I highly recommend this book. Leaves you hoping this is a stand-alone in a hopefully long-running series.
